I want to extract RLC parasitic produced from transmission line interconnection in the microwave circuit.
Anyone has idea about how to obtain RLC from S-parameter measurement data?.
Generally, I can derive the measured input reactance and compare with input reactance of the simulated results. So the difference is the parasitic impedance. is it correct?
I would be appreciate if you suggest any textbook or a research article that demonstrate in details the process flow of extracting RLC using s-parameter measurements.

What is the the length of your interconnect transmission line in terms of the wavelength. If the TL length is much smaller than the wave length then you can represent it by a lumped L-C -R circuit. If It is a long transmission line you have to represent it by its distributed parameters, the characteristic impedenace and the propagation constant p. That is to represent it by a transmission line.

After the conversion process knowing the frequency and the admittance for example you can calculate a conductance G and susceptance B. You can get an equivalent inductance if it is a negative susceptance or an equivalent capacitance if it is a positive susceptance.

If you have measured data for S-Parameter you can rely easily on the optimization techniques (Matlab Tool Kit) to find the values that fit the measured to the simulated over the frequency band of interest. You can simplify the problem if you want by evaluating the values of the RLC for each frequency point and you use the average values.

It is possible to create some equivalent circuit for interconnection, to produce ABCD-parameters from S-parameters, and to find the values of your equvalent circuit. For the beginning you can draw simple Г-form LC-circuit for interconnection [Gupta K.C., Garg R., ... Microstrip Lines and Slotlines. 1996] and compare measured ABCD-parameters and parameters of the equivalent circuit. And then you can try some more complex.
