Many rivers flow from south to north: Rhine, Meuse, Elbe, Oder in Europe, and in Mexico I remember Usumacinta, Grijalva, Coatzacoalcos, Papaloapan, Jamapa, Tecolutla, and perhaps Pánuco too. Some tributaries of the Yangtze indeed flow to the north, but the headwaters of Yangtze are further north than its terminus.
