I don't have any information regarding dissolution of RG score, but if it true, then I appreciate the decision (though my current RG score is 361.37). I will continue my activity as usual, because ResearchGate forum rates me as top experts in several topics of science as follows:
I have no informations about this subject. So if that is happened, I think it has no negatively effect on the RG members' interactions on the RG platform.
I am fond of researchgate as it provides the opportunity to connect with the researchers worldwide and you get informed that where your research standards lies.
It is OK. This platform is not meant only to get higher score but to interact meaningful in order to be a better researcher and learn from one another.
I think it is a good removal. It will make ResearchGate only a gate for research. It was about to be such a mess. We used to see many questions unrelated to research. Such questions were asked just to get high scores and it was a diversion of the main ResearchGate's aim. Another issue is that there was a kind of unfairness. For example, Professor Richard M Ryan got 133,363 citations and 516,092 Reads and he had around 40 scores and some got the same or more without even a single citation or even a single research. So, I believe that ResearchGate was good and unfair and it will remain and be good and fair.
Do Q&A reads play any part in the Research Interest measure? I ask in particular because I note a "Research You Follow" menu item, under which appears Questions, indicating that the Questions are to be understood as research.
I think the best way to increase your RG score is to follow the steps of (How to increase your impact), by upload full text, invite co-author via e-mail, make recommendation to other, send question and answer to other question, .. etc.
