Dear colleagues, could you please tell me if you've ever met a reliable and not too expensive instrument for assessing cell viability (the trypan blue exclusion method preferred) which runs on reusables chambers? I know Countess II FL can do that and has the chambers, but it costs too much if you only need to count living and dead cells...
Dear John, a hemocytometer is surely an alternative, and we use its local analogue (Goryaev's chamber), but it's extremely time consuming, as we are about to perform massive screening which is just unfeasible with the hemocytometer. That's why I asked about an automated solution. Or did you mean a hemocytometer-instrument?
