i have two populations of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). First population had little population (150 plants). After i analyzed it, the residual point from the first population was 0,1056 and the second population shown 0,8643. So, what are the component and variable that can make different point for residual point from two populations?

The residual factor depends on number and appropriateness of parameters or traits used to work out correlations which are then used or path analysis. More number of parameters that are more relevant lead to low residual factor and vice versa.
As said by Dr sarvjeet sir.
A simple explanation may be. The dependent trait values are less correlated to independent variable. The effect on independent traits on dependent are unexplainable. Either the values of independent traits are not behaving as expected in significant no of genotypes. This leading to high residual values
