I have a research study on rationalizing energy consumption in Saudi Arabian society; how can I develop a good questionnaire? The questionnaire must have all types of questions you studied in the branches, e.g., dichotomous (yes/no), multichotomous (MCQ), checklist, ranking and rating scale, and open-ended questions. A minimum of 20 questions.

Ensure that the questions adhere to your research framework and hypotheses without the need to include all possible question types, focusing on those that best suit your study's needs. Open-ended questions can add depth. you also can use (interview) beside your questionnaire. remember long questionnaire can increase the respondent fatigue and maximize the random errors.
You can divide your questionnaire based on participants demographic information, research goals and some recommendations ... then design questions for each part.
