Dear Researchers,

I am writing to seek clarification on an observation made in a shallow location near the lagoon shore following the rainy season in January. I observed a balloon-like structure fully submerged in the water, primarily located in close proximity to seagrass beds. Despite careful examination, I have been unable to identify the nature or origin of this structure.

Could you kindly provide insights or hypotheses regarding the possible identity or significance of this phenomenon?

Note: Based on discussions with local fishers, it has been suggested that the balloon-like structures observed in the shallow lagoon shore area may be shrimp eggs. According to their observations, once these eggs hatch, thousands of very tiny mosquito-like stages emerge from these structures. I am inclined to believe that these stages correspond to the nauplius stage of an organism, potentially shrimp or others.

I kindly request insights or hypotheses from the research community regarding the species to which these eggs may belong.

Thank you
