To test a novel clustering method, I need 3D data on the sphere, or preferably on the ellipsoid. Do you have any suggestions to receive this data (especially for free)?

In fact, I developed a new clustering method on the sphere, and used it to uniform the star catalog at the surface of the celestial sphere. Now I want to extend this algorithm for ellipsoid and need real 3D dataset on ellipsoid.
