According to Hava 2007, Cossyphus tauricus is known from Albania, Afghanistan, ‘Caucasus’, Cyprus, Greece, south-western Russia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy (including Sardinia), Syria, Turkey, and Turkmenistan. The localities reported from Iran from material deposited in the National Museum of Praha includes:
