Replacement for erythrocytes (RBCs) for carrying out lectin - hemagglutination assays?

For an experiment I have to test for presence of lectins in a plant extract. I shall be carrying out the regular hemagglutination assay. However, I wish to avoid the use of erythrocytes. So I want to know if there is any replacement for RBCs for this hemagglutination assay; are there any kits available?
