In Greece, in 1924, there was a referendum on the form of government, in the sense of whether the head of state would be the king, i.e., hereditary and for life, or the President of democracy, i.e., elected and for a term of office. A military revolution and the royal family's departure from Greece preceded it. Subsequently, the 4th National Assembly, formed by elections, issued a resolution declaring Greece a republic and declaring the Glücksburg dynasty overthrown. The people were called to a referendum to approve or reject the choice of the National Assembly. Can you provide information about similar incidents, influence, etc, in your country at that age?
