Wouldn't it be better to use "reusable" diapers?

Some companies are collecting diapers and use them for composting.
In our place Kenya diapers are thrown in toilets in rural areas and sub-urban areas. In urban areas they are thrown in dust bins and taken to a dumping site.

Diapers are normally sent to composting, but there is a very interesting project in Brazil where the used diapers are used as raw material to make plastic wood. Most are for fence posts, decks and sea wall. The material is perfect for the structure of the wood.

as a user, in my experience the best is to use cloth dipers. This way waste is reduced, and it can be composted.
