I have already evaluated the elastic scattering cross section using direct reaction model of Fresco and ECIS. Now I need a tool to calculate the Hauser-Feshbach model for the nucleus with A from 4-40. Thank you very much.
There are various widely used Hauser-Feshbach model codes, including NON-SMOKER by T. Rauscher et al.. For instance, through this link (https://nucastro.org/codes.html) you can access to NON-SMOKER.
Thank you for your advice, Dr. Alexis Diaz-Torres. The NON-SMOKER code does not seem to allow for calculation with A>4 projectile but I will contact Prof. Thomas Rauscher for more detail. Any other advice for other HF codes is also welcome.
I am also very interested in your works with the fusion of 12C-12C and looking forward to see more application of the TD wave-packet technique.
Thanks! This paper (https://journals.aps.org/prc/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevC.90.034619) may be useful to you. TALYS is another well-known code for Hauser-Feshbach model calculations. Kind regards!
I have a question; i look for a code or procedure to calculate the cross sections of heavy ion interactions such as c12(c12,x) reaction. can you help me?
For above the Coulomb Barrier you can use the PACE-4 it will give you the total and individual residual cross section . Also you can yous cascade code for Cross-section.
"Empire-3.2.3 Malta" could be a better choice other than what pankaj K. Giri suggested. It will give you all the cross section data whatever you need. Its a very versatile code.
Mohammad Shuaib , yes EMPIRE works also for HI induced reactions. In that code you can select with which model you wants to perform the calculations. You can download the code for Linux from IAEA website or you can write them for a window based code they will provide you the CD.
Nguyen Tri Toan Phuc You can use TALYS1.9(latest version) for alpha induced reactions and EMPIRE3.2(as other people also suggested this) , both the code adopt Hauser-Feshbach formalism for compound nucleus cross-section.For heavy ion induced reaction you can go with PACE-4 and EMPIRE3.2. All these codes are freely available.
H.C. Manjunatha You can increase the dimension NDLW for partial waves in the source file dimension.h and recompile it. Make it NDLW=150-200 which hopefully is enough for HI reactions. Hope this will help you.
H.C. Manjunatha As per my knowledge TALYS is only for light ion induced reactions such as neutrons, photons, protons, deuterons, tritons, 3He- and alpha-particles.
