I wan to create J-aggregation of pseudoisocyanine dye by Langmuir-Blodgett technique and I am going to use Arachidic acid to do this.
Now my question is "how much is the area per molecule for creating J-aggregate?"
(for example for molar ratio of AA to PIC equal to 2:1 or 3:1 or etc).

1,1'-diethyl-2,2'-cyanine chloride has 2 small ethyl groups and therefore will not form good monomolecular films like arachidonic acid. You can add a little dye to the film and see how long the film will be stable.
