Some scholars emphasize on the difference between aims and objectives in a research, and recommend including both in the research reports/dissertations. On the other hand, in many dimensions these two are used interchangeably. What is your opinion? Are they different and both are required or one could be sufficient?
Aims are statements of intent. They are usually written in broad terms. They set out what you hope to achieve at the end of the project. While objectives, on the other hand, should be specific statements that define measurable outcomes, e.g. what steps will be taken to achieve the desired outcome. Objectives should be S.M.A.R.T. which means they should be: Specific measurable, achievable, realistic, and time constrained. Some supervisors are happy with one clear strong aim, while others like to see a main aim supported by at least two subsidiary aims. Likewise, there is no fixed number of objectives but you will be required to produce sufficient objectives to be able to measure progress towards meeting the aim/s.

It's all depends upon the format adopted by Higher Education Commission of your country or your university
Aims general goal of your research, objectives is specific goals your research based on research question. In general format only use research objective, not need research aims
