Hello,
I'm simulating an external flow over an I-beam using k-omega SST turbulence model, and I'm not very confident with the near wall treatment. I found that the informations from my researches not very clear, so I'm asking for your help. Basically, I have to questions:
1. Should I use wall functions (Can I use them)? This case has a large separation zone and the x velocity (Ux) changes its direction along the y axis. I didn't want to set y+ to 1 because of the computational time, but can I use wall funtions with these circunstances? (I attached the fgures of Ux and p fields and the velocity profile over a line)
2. The nutUSpaldingWallFunction is correct for my y+ range? My y+ varies form aprox. 0 to 50 (see attached figure 4), I didn't find much information about this function, but as I understood it covers the range of y+
