I want to do a systematic literature review on sustainability, how do companies collaborate, how they work together.
1. Now, do I need to have a theoretical framework? Like should I look at the data collected from the literature with some form of theory? like Institutional, resource-based, or SD logic?
2. I want to see how companies work together with my own eyes and interpretation and not from other literature reviews, can I exclude all conceptual papers and only look at empirical papers such as case studies or surveys?
3. Can I be picky with journal grade A, B or so?
4. To study what happened between companies that implement sustainable activities, what keywords would you use. I know that one figures out after some reading, I have read much, yet I'm a bit insecure inputting keywords that might eventually make me chase wild geese.

Yes, it would be best if you had a theoretical framework. As sustainability is often defined with criteria and indicators, a multi-criteria decision-making framework could be appropriate. You can try with this review:

I wondered if the concept of "co-opetition" might be something you should explore / reference?
Brandenburger & Nalebuff wrote a book about it and there's a few good literature reviews available publicly, if you google it.

Hi Luis, I saw the MCD framework, its interesting, yet I couldn't see how it will help in looking at how companies work together.
As for Co-petition, my colleague wrote a paper on it recently, very interesting to look at companies in the same industry, however, when you are looking at sustainability it is pure collaboration because two totally different companies could make money, look good in front of consumers and to the government without having any competition. If you see for example a grocery working with a juicer company that collaboration. Instead of waiting for fruits to go sour and then give them to the pig farm. It can still turn to fruit juice and have a longer life. As for the competition, there is always competition for the consumer's pocket in the market. However, that does not justify co-petition between dissimilar companies.
Write it after your research, so it is focused. A LR includes an introduction, then discusses the literature, outlines your problem and finally how you propose to solve it :)
