I am drafting a questionnaire for semi structured interviews for further Grounded Theory based analysis. My research question is " What are the Knowledge Sharing & Retention strategies in "X" industrial sector & what are the key challenges & barriers being faced in their implementations". Kindly help me in drafting some key questions for getting key insights of respondents.

It isn't easy to suggest this without a lot of knowledge about your research, so this is how I tackled the problem.
You need to look at the type of questionnaire you are going to use for semi-structured interviews; this might be helpful:

This is how I tackled the problem; I used topic guides rather than a set questionnaire, and the following as references:
Kvale S. InterViews. London: Sage Publications Ltd.; 1996.
Holstein JA, Gubrium JF. The Active Interview. London: Sage Publications Ltd.; 1995.
The dates are quite old now, as this was around 2002!
Remember to ask largely open questions (i.e. not those that would be answered by yes or no). I initially wrote my topic guide basing it on questions that were what I wanted to know the answer to but then reviewed the guide after the first six interviews, and continued to review after ten, fifteen and eighteen interviews. I carried out 23 interviews (22 participants) in total.
I included possible prompts and probes in my topic guides, identified by italics.

Dear Jawad Ali your research question is enough the respondents to answer cause grounded theory means you cull the data from the narratives or shadings of the interviewees only you do an in-depth interview then do the unit and thematic analysis to surface what are the knowledge sharing and retention strategies in “X” ...
You can also revisit the grounded theory by barney glassier glaser and the classic grounded theory

I agree with Victoria. Your research question is enough to start your investigation. I would advise you with the guide of this question to make the first interviews, of very open orientation. After these first contacts with the perspective of the participants, the following may be semi-structured according to what you are getting to know and also to the review of the literature that you will have to carry out.

Don't try to construct questions 'in a vacuum'; so, much as suggested above, initially, just go into the field with a general enquiry derived from your first research question and encourage respondents to talk about knowledge and retention strategies in their industrial sector; data from these initial open interviews will certainly get you started in constructing a more incisive questionnaire, and may cover all of your research questions.
Remember of course, that in Grounded Theory, a question-set is always in development as more data comes in---theoretically, until data saturation.

First, know your informant by asking questions about topics related to his personality. Is knowledge sharing truly understood by informants and what are the personal reasons for doing it?
Yes, I agree. I hope I'm not just repeating some of the excellent responses above, but I think it is important to get to know the informant as an individual, not just as a participant who is appropriate to be taking part in the study. People may react differently to the issues that you are researching and not respond uniformly. I found this again and again.
