First of all i am an amateur when it comes to XRD and phase analysis so please bare with me on this . That being said , i am having an issue with Match! software whereas the suggested phases say for example Quart do not match the respective peaks ( as you may already know quartz have a strong peak at 2 theta 26.66 with 1000 intensity ) but when i select quartz phase its pattern is not aligned with the peaks as shown in the photo, this happens with all other phases , so what am i doing wrong ?
XRD peak positions are wavelength-dependent ( nλ = 2 d sin θ ) that means x-ray source dependent. Quartz should have the most intense peak ~ 26.6 degrees but with Cu K alpha radiation. In your case, you have chosen different radiation for the search match most probably Ni. If you will change the Ni radiation to Cu (from the search math software) your problem of the constant shift should go away.

You can change the wavelength under "Options" -> "General Options" and there under "default wavelength". Normally, the wavelength is also stored in the "raw." files (at least in my case) if you import from raw. data.
Try to ask, which cathode was used for your pattern and then change the "default wavelength" in the program, if it is not a Ni cathode.
