Please give your opinion.....
1.Can we consider "Prosopis Juliflora" plays a major role for mitigating the climate change and land degradation.
2. "Prosopis Juliflora" has some negative impacts also on land by spreading best area in-term of good agro-ecological condition.
So as importancy in-term, if we consider both points which should be more important that we have to focus for research work on Prosopis.

Prosopis juliflora is an invasive weed flora which not only checks the biological diversity but also depletes the sub-soil water. In the Indian state of Gujarat this species has destroyed the habitat of Great Indian Bustard leading to further decline in population of this critically endangered bird species. Therefore, this exotic invasive species cannot be used for mitigating global warming and land degradation.
