Pulsed laser modeling in abaqus software?

I have a problem to define a function of time for laser pulse. I use DFLUX subroutine and define the heat flux penetrate to a specimen. However I dont know how to write rectangular time function. For example, my laser is excited to specimen for 8ns. Could anyone help me on this? I really need this information. Your favor are much appreciated. Thank you.
