My question is about publishing the series articles in some kind of journals. For example, we are testing performance of constructed wetlands for different textile dyes (lets say A, B, C) using two wetland variants (horizontal flow and vertical flow). Now, question is: is it appropriate strategy to publish single article for each dye comparing the potential of both variants of wetlands? Or you would prefer to report all in single paper? We have two limitations of combining (1) there are different students working on different dyes, and each of them want to get article published as first author (2) its not easy to write results of all dyes in a single paper. I heard by a colleague that some journal publish series articles but I am not sure which one are they? Do you know about them or if you have any other suggestion?

Muhammed - personally I think that the days of 'series' articles are mostly behind us. What has tended to replace them is the increased use of certain methodologies - such as mixed methods. It is deemed acceptable to publish the qualitative and quantitative results separately and, sometimes, the result overall. That said, this usually occurs in different journals - rather than one. It appears to me that you would be better off publishing seperate articles in different journals - bearing in mind avoiding copyright and salami-slicing issues through direct replication.
