I am developing a clinical trial protocol in order to use PRP from autologous blood for chronic ulcer treatment. After checking several articles on this topic, it has become clear to me that PRP has to be activated, for example, with CaCl2 10% (1:5 CaCl2). The next step is heating of the PRP and CaCl2 mixture in for it to coagulate and activate. My question is: ¿how long does this heating need to last?
I have read that 15-30 minutes of heating at 38ºC may be sufficient but in several articles the heating of the solution lasts for 24 hours.
