I'm carrying out an experiment with the IRGA Licor 6400XT, and during the evaluation, the mixing fan of the chamber is showing failures, showing intermittent pauses during the recordings. Is there any way to fix this problem without exchanging parts?
Check that your temperature/hunmidity levels are not extreme. It may exahust the fan
For this machine, there is very automatic and online consult survice. You can also see/watch videos from youtub. From my experience, main cause of this problem can happen when the temperature rises. If you have long measures, it is advisable you stop and let the machine rest for a while to cool down. Of course, once you start, it is good you do your measure continous and not longer.

As the colleagues already wrote, this type the problem must be fixed with the LI-COR staff technical in Brazil. However, you can try some things and ease your determinations.
1. verify the behavior of the block and leaf temperatures along with the determinations.
2. If there are abrupt changes in temperature, I suggest you put a conventional fan near to the IRGA fan, this could help to keep the stability temperature around the leaf.

Check if there is some strange object in the fan chamber. I´d the same problem and this was generated by an o-ring that blocked the fan. Or else contact LI-COR support staff. Good luck.
