I have purchased the ATCC-CRL-7637 Hs895T Melanoma cell line from ATCC, but after performing exome-sequencing analysis we discovered that this cell line was mislabeled and is not melanoma but some normal fibroblast. We have also found an entry in Cellosaurus confirming that other independent research groups encountered this problem as well. I have tried to contact ATCC multiple times via email, online form and telephone, but I never got any answer from the company. Did anyone encounter a similar problem in the communication with the ATCC company and could advise how to proceed?
