I have a probit model where my dependent has four outcomes and few independent variables are also in likart scale. I have cross-sectional data series for 10 countries. For one country, it is very easy to apply ordered probit model. But i am unable to understand how to apply probit model for counties data set ?? the number of observations are also different for 10 countries. How to arrange my data set for Probit model ?
If you are only interested in 10 countries, you can use country variable as another independent variable. In this case, you may need 9 dummy variables for the countries.
If 10 countries are thought to be randomly selected from a larger population of countries (e.g. the world), you may consider a mixed model.
You can arrange the data set as in the usual way with a column for the countries.
