I need data (annual) on various governance indicators for India like - political stability, Voice and Accountability, Control of Corruption, law and order and economic risk. Apart from ICRG, i have found few free data in World Governance Indicators by WB. But data series starts from 1996 and i need it from 1980. Can anyone suggest me any other free data sources ?? or if any one have these data, kindly share with me.

Sudip Ranjan Basu has computed 2002 QGOI on older Indian Census data, mentioning the data sources and reviewing the literature.

Samppa Rohkimainen thanks for your advice sir. i found the paper by sudip ranjan basu is relevant though he also uses interval estimations.
