Many studies in Epidemiology and Public Health are based on the surveys of representative samples of populations or samples of certain demographic or high-risk groups. How the study is designed, organized and conducted is of great impact on its results. Some countries have more resources to conduct surveys in a proper way, others have more limitations, and sometimes it is translated in quite unexpected outcomes. All these issues are to be discussed at a forthcoming meeting and in an associated journal issue. I am sure most of you have something to share. Looking forward to your questions, comments, and contributions.
