Poor lipofection efficiency in NK-92 cells

Hi all,

I performed a standard lipofection of NK-92 cells (Natural killer cells) with Lipofectamine MessengerMax 2000 carrying 500 ng of eGFP mRNA per 500,000 cells (excellent lipofection efficiency in HEK293 cells). After 24 hours, only a few cells were bright green and the rest were not green at all (see image attached).

Why is it so? How to improve lipofection efficiency in NK-92 cells? Thanks,
