Thermal cycler 2720 is good and reliable but it lacks some of the useful features modern thermal cyclers have. One big drawback, among a few, is that it cannot run gradient PCR. Also it is not user friendly and have very limited memory. Miniamp plus thermal cycler is a better option in my opinion that is if the price difference is not that massive.
