I am looking for a Phd research topic related to Self Services Technologies and the way consumer adopt or discard the same, in light of the TAM, UTAUT models.
A study can be done to obtain an insight what factors trigger adoption of internet banking or apps like PayTMfor seamless transactions. This is an application of TAM for e-banking. Further investigation can be done to understand how to retain these customers.
I would recommend not to fall at all into TAM, The model is way too over exploited. More than UTAUT and other adoption models, why not try appropriation models? Carroll et.al. would be a good start
