We are working with liquids primarily oils such as corn oils etc. We would like to measure their polarity. Can somebody please suggest a simple inexpensive instruments that can do that?
May be with Conductometer such as Metrohm's 912 Conductometer and further calculation.

It seems me to have a check of the solubilities of your compound with different polar solvents so that you can come to conclusion that whether the compound is polar or non-polar. The solubility studies can be done on HPLC with suitable C18 columns and you can find the solubility studies on internet. You can follow standard protocols from the guidelines of solubility studies.

It is important in polarity to realize protons and neutrons move in reactions and that electrons of the centre of atoms involving positive and neutral charges move with causing electrostatic forces that move electrons in polarity also. Both these and more facts prove very useful!
