as several diagnostic test like Hepatitis virus,Viral load is currently diagnosed by the real time pcr and further new variants like H1N1 viruses ,several RNA virus are screen out by the technique.
Do medical courses already include a biomedical science element in which the techniques used in hospital labs are explained? That could then cover some molecular biology techniques and some really important haematology, biochemistry and immunology knowledge that will help students understand how the tests they are ordering are performed.
I don't like to look at Molecular Biology as a specific course or discipline. But the molecular biology knowledge and its apllication is growing very fast. I introduced concepts and comments about molecular biology tools and molecular diagnosys in all my Microbiology Classes to Medicine and Pharmacy students
Perhaps molecular biology may not be a (stand-alone) course or module or subject at undergraduate level but certainly at postgraduate levele! But it is an intrinsic part of biochemistry and chemical pathology!
Inclusion of molecular biology is important as it gives the student the basic foundation to molecular diagnostic techniques of diseases and the causes of disease.
The molecular biology is an essential part of knowledge and contributes to the understanding of biological mechanisms and processes. We are made of atoms, molecules, cells, tissues and organs...what happens at a molecular level is reflected at higher levels of the biological organization. Structures and functions are strictly connected!

Mol bio is integrated part of biochemistry,so it can be added as a new section or paper along with practical approach, but with new advancement in mol bio cant be ignored.I am fully agreed with this.
Knowledge of Molecular biology helps in understanding various complicated biochemical mechanisms and molecular diseases. Introduction of molecular biology at early stage in medical courses will improve diagnosis of molecular diseases.
Institutions in the United Kingdom, either integrate a year or offer students to take a year out of the MBBS programme to pursue academic interest and Lab Skills.
Most do offer lectures in principles of the techniques however, not much emphasis is made. However, knowledge of basic principles is a pre-requisite for final year medical exams.
