It is quite a while ago that I worked with Oxytocin as an experimental psychologist, but nobody told me to "stop" researching. It had mainly two reasons we did not continue it: 1) Novartis stopped producing oxytocin as nasal spray in Germany and therefore it became more and more complicated to get it. 2) Another reason was that we do not have a medical university attached at our university. So, we had to recruit external physicians to support our projects, which is not truely viable in the long run, since the ethics commission mandated medical supervision. But this had nothing directly to do with Oxytocin itself.
