Is there any procedural preparation/ precautions to follow while cutting material sheets for sample preparations in a variable outer environment?

if the outside temperature is high you must press the material as soon as possible. to chemical and/or genetical samples, put them into a plastic cooler with some ice inside. And go to the lab also asap.
