We have an AFM/STM from Veeco. It was working fine but a few days ago we purchased a vibration proof table for it. When it was installed the AFM did not working. It shows a message saying "Invalid floating point operation". Can anyone help us to sort out this problem.

No... Only we changed the Table..But all Hardware position were shifted.
You could try change table by tripod.
Typically AFM head is located on the tripod.
Invalid floating point is almost definitely a computer error. Is everything attached to the computer in the exact same way? Could one of the cables come loose? Could be that the computer isn't getting all the data it needs from the hardware
