Organizational behavior referred to how people behave in organizations or Peoples attitude in the workplace.
Affect in the workplace refers to the emotions and moods that people experience while at work. According to a study by Brief and Weiss, the study of affect in the workplace began and peaked in the 1930s, with the decades that followed up to the 1990s not being particularly fertile. Recent research has focused on the production of moods and emotions at work, with an emphasis, at least conceptually, on stressful events, leaders, work groups, physical settings, and rewards/punishment.
Let's remember that OB is not only how individuals interact among themselves or with the organization but also the way an organization interacts with individuals. The organization's principles and values are present in such interaction and set a footprint in the individual's life and attitude towards the organization and even towards the outer world. It indeed affects in my opinion.
Organization behavior (OB) primarily deals with the understanding the employee needs /wants, and is based on transactional approach by an organization's top management within and external to its environment.
However, employee attitude towards a work place is largely affected by its organizational policy, type of work place culture promoted within organization. OB is thus largely a theoretical aspect in contrast to organizational development (OD) which relies more on achievement of strategic goals.
Employees need to feel comfortable in the workplace, in order to act positively and be effective and able to accomplish their tasks, in accordance with laws and legislation related to the institutions and their objectives. General rules and laws must also be common, and everyone adheres to them, such as mutual respect between individuals, and following the code of ethics. Commitment to transparency and credibility
