I like to know about any theoretical or experimental research carried out on using light source for propelling microscopic particles in any type of fluid flow.
Dear Professor, as far as I know in such small scales there are very limited power sources. However, if the particle is marked with magnetic material, it is possible to apply magnetic field from outside to power the particle.espesificly if the particle processes an spiral shape, a rotary magnetic field surrounding the particle can cause rotation of the particle which results in translational motion of the particle in a viscous fluid.
