Generally, the red shift means that a conjugated system of bonds in your system has expanded (still there can be other reasons for the red shift). But in your case I would say the reaction has taken place.

how I can find the other reasons and what can I conclude from the uv result?

I think that there are many books discussing on UV-Vis spectra. A temperature change or different solvent can cause the shift. You have to eliminate improbable reason and than you will find the right one.
