I am preparing a protocol on the expression level of mRNA of interest for consideration it as a potential screening marker of a disease. I am looking experience from experts on the available efficient tools to detect and quantify level of mRNA expression from clinical sample.

Hi,
in my opinion the best solution to analyze trascryptome will be as follows:
- screening analysis using microarrays: you will receive genes that have a variable level of the transcript expression (potential markers of a disease) in the test group and controls, then
- RT-qPCR to confirm changes in expression and quantitative analysis of the genes indicated in the first step. You can increase the size of the test and control groups in order to increase the value of the results obtained.
