I'm planning to undertake a project to estimate the prevalence of S.mutans and Lactobaccillus acidophillus for a community...Its difficult to get it done in laboratory.. is there any other method to analyse like strips etc which is cost effective....kindly suggest.

I do not know the strips you mentioned.Are there API strips?.
