A wild population of O. biennis in a dune of North Germany after a peak in the flowering period during the summer months shows in the second half of October specimens whose dry branches after spreading their seeds start developing new green branches with flowers. Does this also happen in its native range and in other localities in the introduced range? Two years ago the same population as far as I remember did not have two flowering periods in the same year. But this is uncertain. I would appreciate any input.
