I am Facing the problem...BRIG works well with the Example data provided in manual but when I perform my analysis no ring of genome appear in final image.I am working on the presence of reference bacterial virulence gene in the query bacterial assembly genomes.
Hi, could you please clarify your input? Are you using FASTA files of bacterial assemblies, complete or draft genomes? As far as I know, BRIG doesn't work well with draft genomes (multiple contigs). You might try using a single contig or merging all contigs into one. Hope this helps!
Hi, sorry I'm not quite sure what you're trying to do based on the attached figure. As a general approach to running BRIG (in your case), you typically need a complete reference genome. The query sequences can be genomes, but not in multi-FASTA format (i.e., with multiple headers/sequences). If you don't have a complete genome, you can either provide the specific contig of interest or merge all contigs into a single sequence by removing intermediate headers (see: https://www.biostars.org/p/276365/). To display virulence genes, you can add an annotation file indicating their positions in the reference genome.
