Dear scientists. Have any of you published the results of changes in gene expression obtained by next-generation sequencing? The analysis was carried out in endothelial cells of cows with some gene silenced in comparison to cells with the gene not silenced. We expected the expression changes to cover a maximum of several dozen genes, however, the results show a difference in expression for over a thousand genes. There is so much data that we wonder what to publish and what to omit. Could you advise on what to focus on when presenting such results in the publication?
