Por lo anterior también me pregunto si habrá una forma más completa y confiable para evaluar la calidad, no sólo por la productividad o cantidad de artículos publicados y citas obtenidas, sino por el efecto que tengan en el terreno de la realidad, dichas contribuciones; es decir, el Impacto Real Cualitativo en Efectividad Terapéutica, Calidad de Vida, Solución de Problemas de Salud, Prevención de Padecimientos, Curación o Limitación del Daño en otros
Is Impact Factor best indicator to assess the quality of Biomedical Publications?
The question arises from my experience as an author, editor and expert reviewer (pair) of biomedical publications, through the identification of bias from the language of publication, the group recognized in a scientific field or discipline authors, the number of citations related to the publication and even journal type where the works are published,
Therefore I also wonder if there's a more complete and reliable way to assess the quality, not only for productivity or number of published articles and citations obtained, but the effect they have on the field of reality, such contributions; ie real impact on Qualitative Therapeutic Effectiveness, Quality of Life, Problem Solving Health, Prevention Disorders, Healing or other damage limitation
