Dear colleagues, I am searching for nests and especially mature larvae of the following species of Sceliphron: S. curvatum, caementarium, destillatorium and deforme, if possible also Isodontia mexicana. South Europe and / or America. Could anyone help me sending it to me? The larvae should be fixed in Pampel solution, I can send it by mail. Thanks a lot, Petr

I investigated destillatorium, so have some breeding nests, but separate b. cameras only photos. But it looks enough fragile for sending. If couple days ago could give for you by Prof. Terek who visited Uzhgorod. What for you need it?

Dear Andrey, many thanks for your offer. I am especially interested in mature larvae from the nests. If you have some I can send you small vials with Pampel solution (special for preserving larvae for morphological studies), you put larvae there and send me them. I do not need more than 3-4 larvae but 1 or 2 will also be useful. To the nests - I think photos will be enough. Thanks a lot, Petr

now I understand - It cannot be, as nests are old and wasps get out. I remaid my garret and they didn't accepted my changes (nests were on chemney). I thought that you want to do some chemical analysis of nests compounds!. But for future I can try to bring some larvae from Asia, as I found eg this June some in Java (Indonesia). Really interesting that in tropical areas I saw only single cell cameras and in Ukraine they are very rare!
Anyway: what is sence of your investigation?

Dear Andrey, I have studied S. curvatum in Europe approx. 10 years ago and now I got several new nests from the Czech Republic. It is an interesting digger wasp - it came to our country around 1995 and recently it is distributed elsewhere - I found nesting female in my living room this year. But - I found that the larvae are undescribed. So I would like to make descriptions of mature larvae of selected Sceliphron species and to compare them one another. Also - there are differences in nest structure so I would like to study also the nests. Best regards, Petr
