I'm conducting a BCA test to determine protein concentration in burn exudates. Unfortunately, I'm consistently encountering a challenge where my results are showing negative values. Nonetheless, I have a strong belief that this issue doesn't stem from a low protein concentration in the sample but rather from a calculation error. My reasoning is grounded in the observation that if the total protein content were too low, it would manifest as lower color intensity or absorbance readings, both of which should fall well below the values on the standard curve. Surprisingly, both the absorbance and color readings remain high, pointing to the likelihood of an error elsewhere. Would you be able to provide any suggestions for resolving this matter?
