I have isolated a foliicolous fungus from Albizia lebbeck. As per identification it seems to be Camptomeris albiziae. But when i go through index fungorum, I found that this fungus has now changed to Helminthosporium albiziae. The conidial characters in the fungus I isolated showed rounded broad base and long conical apex. But as per my knowledge the conidia of Helminthosporium are rounded at both ends. Now I got totally confused where me should place this fungal taxon. So I requested from all eminent fungal taxonomists to help me in this regards, and if possible provide some literature also to justify correct placement of fungus.

Everytime don't believe index fungorum. They have made many mistakes. It is better to check and compare with mykobank.
Crous and Braun (1996) call it Camptomeris albiziae and give a nice drawing of it.

when we analyze your image, it seens that Camptomeris (see Subramanian p 61, fig 26) because: is arbitrary and is based that on the fact that the conidial scars are wider and the conidial bases are often flat and wide in the former (as Group V according to sporeformation), but when we evaluated Helminthosporium see Subramanian p 154, fig 166), porospores are produced acrogenously or acropleurogenously and often successively at higher levels by proliperation of the conidiophore through the scars of the terminal conidia......and Seifert et al.: Camptomeris: Conidiomata; sporodochia, dark, stromata. Setae; none. Conidiophores; unbranched, vesiculate or clavate, brown. Conidiogeneous cells; sympodial or percurrent, polytretic, dark scars, brown. Conidia; didymo or phragmo, euseptate or distoseptate, brown, single, dry, schizo. (for more info see p120 Seifert et al 2011.). and Helmithosporium: Conidiomata; none or stromata. Setae; none. Conidiophopres; unbranched, brown. Conidiogenous cells; polytretic, terminal and intercalary in cph, brown. Conidia; phragmo, distoseptate, single, brown, schizo. (for more info see p 242 Seifert et al 2011).
last but not least : according to all these, your samples should be Camptomeris
