I want to fluorescently label tissues for intravital microscopy, in an unspecific manner. I have used Rhodamine 6G, i.v., and it worked pretty well but I need one in another wavelength.
As a kid, I used Eosin for tissue staining. It is also fluorescent.

I need to stain muscle and gut mainly, but it has to be the tissue itself not the vasculature.
I will check out the eosin staining at first.
If it doesn't work, the nucleic acid stains may solve my problem.
Sorry for proposing Eosin, you wanted another wavelength. Just saw, that Eosin and Rhodamin 6G are spectrally nearly the same:-(
