I am not familiar with Pakistan tectonics, but i guess the answer should be related to the historical and instrumental seismicity along Nanga Parbat-Haramosh Massif (NPHM), despite its rapid rate of uplifting. what is the maximum magnitude has been recorded in that area?
One has to differentiate between tectonic uplift and isostatic uplift. The rapid uplift of the NPHM is probably caused by two factors, namely, sub-crustal high heat flow and high erosion-related tectonic unloading leading to rapid uplift. Since isostatic uplift is essentially a mass transfer phenomenon it does not lead to high-magnitude seismicity.
